I would not recommend lapel mics for studio recording. You voice will come out unnatural and you will not be able to fix that with software.

Hi wanderingwombat! First of all I would suggest you to buy an tube mic. The tube mics from the middle class prices will perform much better, with much warmer and natural sound, not so hyped highs....
