Home recording
Hey guys. Have any of you ever tried a little home recording? If you've thought about it but don't know where to start I recommend the sequencer program Kristal Audio Engine (http://www.kreatives.org/kristal/).
This allows you to record multiple tracks (up to 16) and mix them, all in the program itself, and is so simple to use! And best of all it is absolutely free!! Anyway I just had to share this with you all because I have found it imensly helpful! Enjoy! |

ive got pro tools ran though an m box and a 16 channel behringer eurorack. its studio quality and weve done a couple bands up here. the key... mics. sm 57s are what you need for all drums. for cymbals you need phantom powered condenser mics set up around the room(normally 2) and maybe a bass drum mic. guitar you can run DI or mic it if you have a good setup. we run guitar and bass DI through a V amp rack model. sometimes we mic our orange fullstack because its an orange fullstack. if anyone has specific questions, i can be of some help.

http://archive.org/details/kristal-ae-setup But it only has an EXE download (Installer) -- I prefer stand alone EXEs as they usually dont put crap in the reg!! Anyone know where I might find a zip copy of this?? |
