Yeah, Sid Vicious, what a total loss that was.

Seriously, image aside, what has that guy contributed to music, at all? Other than bass playing so awful that not even a goddamn punk band would let him do anything.

Though with that in mind, with all the mainstream bands with crappy inaudible bass players nowadays, he probably is very influencial.

Randy was the youngest brother, he joined the Jackson 5 when Jermaine stuck with Motown.

Regardless of ability, he still died before his time. Although he was a junkie and apparently a real cunt of a human being, so meh.

I know it always sucks when people die, save a few counter-examples

But yeah, Vicious was an incredibly untalented individual who was more of a stage prop than an actual musician and yet still had the gall to be an egotistical f*ck and just a downright horrible human being, not to mention a murderer.

I wouldn't cry at the guy's funeral, no.

Joe Jackson seems pretty objectionable at the moment.

Yeah, what a c*nt.

Jackson left him out of the will, but still, you know he's gonna get some of that money because he left it to his mother.

I'm very disappointed that Michael didn't just say f*ck it and leave his entire estate to Bubbles.

I doubt very much that he'd have recorded much more music, if any.
Yeah he was burnt out, he needed some serious detox and therapy. I heard even he was battling with the notion that his best was behind him and all the plastic surgery and drugs was his way of dealing with that. I guess if his music couldn't make him less average then changing his appearance was a quick fix for not being average.

Even assuming the disease thing is true the fact that he chose to wear light skin-tone makeup rather than a color that matched his actual skin tone is still pretty weird.
MJ was in some serious denial about his appearance. He told Martin Bashire he only had surgery twice and his skin color, lips and jaw line naturally occurred from the aging process. This is a good example as to why it was hard to believe what came out of his mouth in reference to the child molestation charges. Why not just own up to the obvious? "yeah, I changed my skin, nose, lips and jaw because I have some family issues and wanted to escape my heritage". The world would have more respect for that and be forgiving. Also, Al Sharpton and Spike Lee need to shut the **** up, Jackson tried to not be black and did very little for the black community, he even claimed to produce white kids with blond hair, how is this not seen as an insult in the black community is beyond me. Their icon tried to escape being black... what a bunch of opportunistic **** suckers.

Always remember, if not for Joe Jackson this thread wouldn't be here. As much of a **** of a father he was/is, Michael always tried to gain his approval and Michael was who he was because of Joe. Perhaps that is more of a curse then a blessing, but all the money is because of Joe pushing him and his brothers so hard. I think the kids falling into the hands of Joe will be kinda sad since Michael had issues with the way he was disciplined but I doubt Joe would do anything remotely close to what he did to Michael since A) it was his own kid and his meal ticket and B) he's 80 years old.

Joe paved the way, he was Jackson's teacher after all, but he was also holding Michael back and if anything Berry Gordy and Quincy Jones deserve just as much credit for making Michael into the superstar that he was, if not more.

But let's not take away all the credit from Michael himself.

My point is if not for Joe driving those kids, Quincy and Berry would have never known who Michael was. The foundation of the Michael Jackson phenomenon was and always will be Joe Jackson. By the way Joe is acting now I'm forced to believe he was only looking out for himself and could care less what his kids really wanted out of life, he just wanted them to be famous. Michael's talent and need to be loved and accepted is what propelled him into super stardom and not just a child star... but would he have had the chance to show the world how talented he truly was if not for him being that child star? probably not.

Did you see that guy's public speech?

Before he even said anything about Michael, the first thing he did was plug some record label he was involved with.

What a douche.
