When one is in cardiac arrest, their heart most definitely stopped.
A heart attack is less definite. That's what I was told, at least. The first definition was from two EMTs, so... xD |

No.
A heart attack is when the heart is not getting enough blood and goes into shock. Cardiac arrest is when the heart just plain stops beating. |
