The whole celebrities dying in threes is so true it's scary. I mean just look at the recent list:

David Carradine
Ed McMahon
Farrah Fawcett
Michael Jackson

Yup, three of them every time. You can set your watch by it.

As crazy as his personal life was, he was a great musical performer, so to all the people making jokes about this, screw you.

He was a great icon and his music touched a lot of people, me included. I haven't seen people this bummed over a rock star's death since Lennon.

As a big Jackson fan I am very saddened by the news. I was sincerely hoping he could get his sh*t together for that comeback tour, even though I knew he wasn't in good health physically or mentally. It's a damn shame he couldn't get out a good swan song before his passing.

RIP King of Pop.

You were alive when Lennon died?

C'mon. Carradine was over a week and a half ago, the last three was just two days apart.

How can you remember something that happened several years before you were even conceived?

Yes, much closer together than most celebrity deaths that people claim happened in threes.

What about Kurt Cobain? Pretty sure there was a lot of uproar about that, since he died at the height of his fame.

Also RIP, played Bad and Thriller so far, going to listen to some more jackson today, brilliant pop albums.

There was a lot of uproar but it still wasn't nearly as big as this. I think Michael Jackson had a lot broader appeal and of course he was around making music a lot longer too.

The same could probably be said of Lennon as well. I mean Cobain was only in the public eye for about two and half years.
