The Evolution Theory...
I was thinking, It's funny how music has evolved from the 70's where the music was about standing for a cause and how music found an independence in the current cultural climate. Then, in the 80's how Hip-hop was formulated through domestic injustices for rights amongst struggling minorities. As real fans of music, I think we all appreciate the roots from where music was created. In today's climate, music has evolved. Feels like after Obama was elected, music has taken on a whole new dimension that has gone back to it's roots and represents the current state of our culture. Artists that stand behind a cause, that use their platform to affect change have started popping up all over the place, it seems. New artists like, K'naan or DeLon are starting to reshape the face of music.

haha, can u read, I said music steped on new level after election...omg...

That's a stupid claim because a lot of these artists have been doing this for awhile, and have been big on an underground level. You think November 5th, all the artists decided it was time for a new breed of music? No.

What makes you think the leadership of one country could have such an influence on the rest of the world.
I mean really , i'm so happy you're feeling all happy & smug because you voted a black guy in charge for a change but as far as my day to day life goes the event is meaningless. |
That's because you're in Britain.
