I mean, he's doing what makes him happy, good for him. screw all the media bull crap making fun of him. i'm sure it's tough for all hollywood actors to really have a normal life. i made a facebook for him titled "I Support Joaquin Phoenix". join it.

He's kinda losin it from what I hear. Eccentric though. I like that.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it's all just an elaborate Andy Kaufman-esque act. His brother-in-law, Casey Affleck, is filming it all.

Well, in his defense, Signs would have been a hell of a lot more interesting if Phoenix had broke out rapping with the aliens instead of swingin' the bat. :D

I'm not sure if anything could have saved Signs, but adding nonsensical comedy couldn't possibly have hurt I guess.

Phoenix being weird is of course just an act. He's in character and there must be some reason for it. A mockumentary made by Casey Affleck is the most popular hypothesis. He might do it just for fun for all I know.
