Go to this forum and promote the hell out of your band there. They came here telling people to come to their forum to advertise things but sadly because we don't allow it we had to delete it.

(Aren't those the folks we were talking about spamming?)

Oh, HEY! And if you have, say, 1000 or so friends who could also link up to that site...

Sure....just tell your label or friends that such and such band are huge fans of such and such....(when they clearly aren't), and watch how many unsuspecting fans believe this and go out and buy it?

Some band(forgot their name) I heard recently, claimed they were "huge fans of DM", yet, not 1 of their songs sounded anything like the band, it was some ****ty "pop" band, but they claimed they're such huge fans of the group, yet sound nothing like them, go figure.

What i found funny is, how much they kept going around telling anyone who'd listen, is how big of fans of Depeche mode they were? it was funny.

Another way to "promote" your band/music:

RELEASE SOMETHING GOOD!!! no one wants to hear bands that sound like/are fans of U2, they want to hear YOUR band, so do YOUR thing, not someone else's. Stand out, dont try to emulate others. Thats one of the biggest differences IMHO of modern music today. Alot of it's just not very good.
