Rising above flavor-of-the-month dance trends, veteran NYC DJs Eamon Harkin (FUN, Sunday Best, Wurst Edits) and James F!@#$%^ Friedman (Refuse, Go Commando, Throne of Blood Recordings) have joined forces to create Prime Time, a showcase for classically-minded yet forward-thinking dance music, irrespective of genres. Think disco, house and techno for grown folks rather than nu-ravers, somewhere between New York's legendary Fixed nights, Glasgow's long-running Optimo party, and PS1's Warm Up series.

With a home base at Love, home to one of New York's most incredible soundsystems, Prime Time launched in late May with epic sets from Metro Area's Morgan Geist and Darshan Jesrani, who kept a packed dancefloor sweating well past 4 am. After a two month hiatus, Harkin and Friedman return with a vengeance in August, kicking things off with a rare New York appearance with Ewan Pearson, one of the most respected producers and in demand remixers in the UK at the moment. In the business since 1996, he is best known for his collaborations with Goldfrapp and Gwen Stefani's "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." album. He's remixed the likes of Chemical Brothers/Flaming Lips, Nelly Furtado, Depeche Mode, Ladytron, Feist, Franz Ferdinand, and the Rapture. He's the type of DJ who doesn't stick to one style of music and expands on the range of music he mixes.
