Default Radiohead - "Nude (Strings Remix)" - All comments/criticism welcome!

Radiohead/ Remix/ Nude _ Upload

Hi everybody,

This is my first foray into home recording/mixing. I've been messing around with computer music for the last few months, because I felt like having another musical outlet (my current job is an orchestral violinist). I've had some experience in the studio (recorded with Sun Kil Moon, Okkervil River, John Vanderslice), and this whole Radiohead remix thing inspired me to see if I could arrange my own string parts.

The result here is spending a few free days on my couch with my violin and computer. I would love all comments/criticism from anybody, as this is something I'd like to continue experimenting with. (I guess if you like it, you can vote and pass the link onto anybody else).

Thanks!

It felt a little out of sync....

I try to not be too much of a stickler about things lining up to have it sound a bit more human and less produced (imagine what beatles songs would sound like if everything was spot on perfect and lined up?)--but anyway--if it's perceived as out of sync then I'll keep in in mind for the future. Thanks for the critique!

I like the strings, but if they appear out of sync with the song, they're distracting. They should blend in seamlessly...maybe the volume was a little too loud on them.

Yeah. I thought the strings were right on.

I noticed some people are posting links (ahem, bristol remix), that automatically cast a vote when you click on it. Kinda cheap if you ask me. Careful of any link that starts radioheadremix.com/remix/rate_mix.php
