Stone Temple Pilots-in some ways i agree, but as far as musicianship goes, i think they're very underrated and should get a bit more hype in that department

In regards to the Stone Temple Pilots, what ways do you agree with?
I think they are overrated for the wrong reasons and I agree musically they desevre more credit, I'm a fan of their bassist. and I can't agree more with your nirvana comment.

The Mars Volta also falls under the category of being overrated for the wrong reasons, Thomas Pridgen is a tank and I never hear much about him.

Oh, and just because I say these bands are overrated doesn't mean I don't like them.

-i agree with their bassist being underrated, probably one of the best to come out of the 90's. i also think the guitarist deserves some credit, if you listen to STP's albums, he's not only got some memorable riffs, but also some sweet solos that are really jazzy at times
