Also I must enter this as being massively overrated & I now think Kings Of Leon truly suck balls since they went and did a 'lets copy U2' with the latest album.
Thier previous albums, especially 'Because Of The Times' in particular were pretty good though.

then how do we measure music? "kevin ferderline didn't make 'bad' music, it just wasn't your taste" is not a sentence i ever want to hear

Yeah but the reviews in the magazines just happen to be published opinions of people just like you and me, also popular opinion shouldnt have any influence when forming your own opinion.

As for the Foo Fighters, they shouldnt be totally slated for everything they do as they have done some good music (particularly the first album & 'There Is Nothing Left To Lose', also I enjoyed 'In Your Honour'). I agree they are overrated in the sense that they are what I would call an inconsistent band. They put out a good album and then a sh1t one. So I can understand people hear a certain album after hearing a good one then lose interest. I wouldnt describe them as 'simple','plain', 'emotionless', 'uninspired' though. There are a lot more plain, uninspired rock bands out there than the Foo Fighters. I think you were a bit harsh there.

I dont consider Foo Fighters 'pop' at all. I think 'soft rock' is more suitable. They are not as bad as everyone makes out on here. Ive seen quite a few times on here people saying they hate certain band simply because theyre 'too succesful' which to me is ridiculous. get off your high horse, almost everyone judges on the music but i can relate to having propane poured on the flames of dislike by the overall successfulness of totally garbage music.

Ive not heard any Kevin Federline so cant comment.. I was just speaking in general & yes obviously it will piss you off more if a band/artist you dont happen to like is succesful.

my point is that there is good and bad music and to say that there is no such thing as good and bad music in an overrated music thread is just not right... lol
