And that was enough to have them on your top albums list? O_O

Regardless, i hate that band with a passion, i blame them in part for this whole crappy new wave revival scene of talentless "copy" bands that are taking MTV by storm, making MTV as unlistenable for it's music as it is unwatchable for it's lame reality shows.

They were all on that album.

Even so i`d have them above some crappy rock band that writes ham fisted sociopolitical sloganeering aimed at your average 16 year old metal fan.

I hardly consider RATM's music metal, being loud and agressive dosent make you metal, unless all punk is metal, and King Crimson is metal... I just consider them a hard rock band with elements of metal, funk, piost punk, experimental, etc.

I think they are a great band, they have written some acessible and popular songs, but also some very crazy ones, i don't consider their music dumbed down... Pretentious?... Maybe, not like i really give a sh*t about being pretentious.

I consider them a better band than FF on the grounds that they have more talent (or actual talent to begin with for that matter), both instrumentaly and creatively, and while they may be an aqquired taste for some they can craft some very imaginative sounds and melodies that dont instantly remind me of that riff from Float On.

I freaking hate that song.
