Funnily enough, My Iron Lung really isn't the most sought after Radiohead song, so I find it kinda curious that it would be the only song of theirs someone likes...

Linkin Park, Coldplay and Nickelback. I can't fake the enjoyment anymore. They keep putting their songs in every pub and I try to go with the flow so I won't ruin the evening. But enough is enough, they have the same tune that they keep repeating.

It's the only song of theirs I've connected with on any level. It has elements of Dream Pop and Shoegaze, both of which I love. If anyone can point out other individual songs, I'll give them another listen, but as it stands it's currently their only one I like.

And although I don't like Radiohead, I think it's safe to say I am allowed to call them overrated in the same breath. A quick look at any music forum on the internet, or a stats page on last.fm exposes their fanatical worldwide following, which in my mind is both undeserved and surprising. Thus, overrated.

Each to their own... but one can argue that those thousands of devotees are hearing something you are not...hehehehe... I really don't know where to begin with suggesting another song beside My Iron Lung... I guess We can just put this one down to difference in taste...

yes, but at the same time i do love them but because they are interesting, creative, and powerful, always sticking to it for the love of music and always striving to do something different. you can't say that about a lot of bands, i can honestly think of a dozen that fit that description. there are plenty of bands that i don't personally like but can respect or appreciate, those bands are not my taste. if you call radiohead overrated then i think that a bit ignorant.

also, fanatical worldwide following doesn't mean anything at all. popularity doesn't mean critically acclaimed. radiohead is critically acclaimed but still they have really deserved what popularity they do have.

^ so true. And I agree on Blink 182 and Linkin Park in previous posts.
It's hard to not include your taste when thinking about overrated bands since you probably don't get why so many people are into that band. Although sometimes I agree on a band being good but simply isn't my cup of tea.

Elvis.
U2.
Metallica.
Guns 'n' Roses.
Madonna.
Beach Boys.
The Sex Pistols.
Coldplay.
NIN.
Katy ****ing Perry.
Nickelback.
Jamie Foxxx.
Chris Brown.
The current Disney ****, such as Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift (is she Disney? Oh well, either way, she's overrated) etc. I know most of you are probably thinking 'Obviously, why even say it?' but I've heard the Jobros be compared to The Beatles, which is just not on.
