Colour and the Shape was a damn good album, I don't care what anyone says.

Ive only heard the singles, and I like, and I also like Grohl's first album, although everything afterward....99% sucks.

my only point is that music is graded and rated all the time in reviews, and even regular people rate it in terms of good or bad, so of course music is subjective and i'm sure that some people will like kevin federline, katie perry, and other b.s. but that does not make it 'good' music.
Fairs enough. Sorry for coming off a bit condescending.

When it comes to overrated bands, Velvet Underground comes to mind instantly. Not that I hate them or anything. I just never understood what people see amazing about them.

Venus in Furs is the musical equivalent of sex.

I mean I just don't see that way. I mean, I like a few of their songs like 'Waiting for my Man' and 'Sunday Morning' but for the most part they are just blah to me.

I dont consider Foo Fighters 'pop' at all. I think 'soft rock' is more suitable. They are not as bad as everyone makes out on here. Ive seen quite a few times on here people saying they hate certain band simply because theyre 'too succesful' which to me is ridiculous. I am into a lot of successful & unsuccessful bands, but it is the music I judge on, not on album sales. Actually at the end of the day, they are actually total hypocrites.

id have to say the most overrated person is lil wayne, everyone says he has great lyrics, Bullshiz. and now that hes moving to a more rock genre, it really sickens me. He has no right pretending to be rock.

for a kick, look up the music video Prom Queen - Lil Wayne
