Extraordinary = irregular, unusual, etc. If no one else sounded like Bob Dylan how didn't he fit that definition? Him being extraordinary isn't an opinion. Saying you don't like him is.

Extraordinary=exceptional to a very marked extent

Dylan was exceptional though, saying you don't like him and he gets too much credit okay but nothing sounded like Highway 61 Revisisted or Blonde on Blonde until Highway 61 and Blonde on Blonde.

Calling him a Guthrie rip off is a bit of stretch unless you're talking about just his first album in which case I agree with you though Woody was much more versatile than Dylan. Freewheelin/Times They Are A-Changin only sound like Woody in the sense that all folk sounded like Woody.

hmm I don't know if you can put out as many songs as Bob Dylan has and truly be overrated. He has maintained a relevance that almost discredits any critic. Most of us here have not even existed for as long as he has been known as a musician. Claiming something is overrated is purely opinion and should not be judged otherwise. shout anger shout.
