The two bands that immediately come to mind are Radiohead and Led Zeppelin. I suppose the Beatles are overrated to, I don't really dislike them, but I certainly don't understand the acclaim they generate. Pink Floyd is another big one.

His music sucks, folktronica is one of the lamest genre ideas ever and he sounds like the singer for Depeche Mode.

Well considering his debut album was recorded on his laptop you can hardly blame the production for not sounding like a Britney Spears album. I think it sounds fine and jackhammer (who knows quite a bit about electronic music) had no problem with it whatsoever.

While I'm not a Patrick Wolf fan, I have to point out that none of these are really legitimate complaints. You're basically saying it's bad because you don't like it. Sounding like the singer from Depeche Mode is, in no way, inherently bad, and neither is the existence of the folktronica subgenre. You could at least offer some specific insight as to why you think other people shouldn't like his music, which is what you're saying by calling him overrated, rather than simply saying that he doesn't gel with your preferences.
