Newbie question about a guitar

Hello everyone. I started playing guitar a year ago, and my electric is the Yamaha Pacifica. But i was always a fan of gibson guitars but obviously they are quite expensive so the solution is Epiphone. I am a huge fan of the Gibson Super 400 CES (I fell in love with it seeing Elvis rock it in his '68 comeback special) so i found an epiphone that kinda looks like the Super 400 and it's the Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II Pro. I love how bulky it is, i love how big it is but the thing is, i mostly play rock 'n' roll and generally everything BUT jazz (which is what the Emperor II is intended for, right?). So that's my concern, since all of the youtube reviews of the guitar are jazz related. My question to you is, can i play all sorts of genres on the Emperor II, not just jazz? My other option is the Epiphone Casino which is also a beautiful guitar but the former is a bit more beautiful than the Casino. Thanks!
