Default Looking for a good drumset to give to my brother for christmas

My brother is a drummer and has been drumming for years, but the only drumset he had been using belongs to the church band he played for, which he dosent play for anymore, He is now without a drumset. So i plan to give him a good set for christmas, All he needs is a good single bass drumset, no double bass or anything, there may be a good pawn shop that sells them for cheap, but if im not so lucky where should i turn for a decent drumset at a very low price?, something in the less than 500 range...Sorry if a similar thread has been done before, i did a search and i didnt find anything that suit's my question.

GO to www.musiciansfriend.com . I searched through their sets and found more than a handfull that were $500 or less. Drum sets are very expensive in general, but you should be able get a decent minimalist set for your price range. Don't forget that, most of the time, cymbals and hardware are sold separately.
