Removing instruments from mp3s
 

Is there a plugin that will remove or filter out specific instruments from mp3s?
I know it is possible to remove vocals but i need to remove instruments specifically guitar for making backing tracks

That's not possible.
You need to have the multitrack to separate instruments. With an mp3 file, you just can't do that.

not really possible buuuutt closest thing i came to was using Adobe Audition, central channel extractor which was really good at taking out vocals and rums and stuff, that was in the central of the panning spectrum, works really well, havent tried in a long time that was years ago but im sure technology is better now

Even if you could, it would sound like crap if, if possible. What is the motivation for doing it?
