guitar mic
I picked up a cheap lapel mic today thinking I could try to play around with it on my acoustic guitar. The mic actually does a fairly good job when recording on my computer (the mic was $11, wasn't expecting much), but all I get when I run it through my amplifier is hiss. I can faintly hear tapping if I tap the mic, but the his is much much louder than it is on my computer. I've tried several channels on the amp, and it works fine with my electric guitar, just not the mic.
Any ideas why I'm getting the hiss/how I might fix it? |

If your into recording with the mic you'll want to get something decent. You should be able to pick up an SM57 at your local pawn shop. Just grab an XLR adapter, cheers |
