Hey everyone. I'm GeneralElectric, a bassist from NYC. I'm an active talkbass member and someone suggested I posted here.
I had my 60s/70s White Gibson SG run off in a taxi this morning. I've called everyone (trust me) and now I'm calling up all the guitar shops to keep a lookout. Tomorrow its pawn shops.
Here the text of my CL posting since this place won't let me post URLs yet.

I took a cab on valentine's Day from 51st Ave and vernon Blvd to woodside Avenue and 67th St. I was helping my girlfriend as she slipped on ice and the driver drove off with all my stuff. I tried chasing the guy down but I guess he didn't see me.
What's missing?
My father's Gibson SG guitar. I just saved up to get it fixed up so it's playable and I was bringing it home from the shop. It's white. It's beat up. It's in a body glove bass gig bag. It has worn grover pat pending tuners, black aftermarket bridge, and the ZOOM sticker that you see. There are also two heart shaped stickers on the head stock. It also has two chrome telecaster knobs.
Also missing is a brown leather messenger bag with all of my college text books in it. Which is also hard to swallow as the semester just started. It's pretty beat up looking and also has my hard drive with all my school work on it. My house keys and everything else is in there too.
So please, people of Craigslist, I'm looking for a miracle. I used my debit card but my bank can't help me find the medallion number. 311 can't help me find the medallion #. I'm on my way to the precinct to file a report.
I've attached a picture of the guitar as well. These are the only pictures I have. If you have it, I'd like it back. No questions asked. My father is no longer with us and this is all I have of him. There is also a reward if you come across this.
Hoping for a miracle here.
