Hi Guys
I have a Jansen 16 ohms cabinet speaker. and for years have wanted to get a head but never been motivated enough and didn't know what I needed.

from memory this has two 8 ohms speakers. on back is two 6.5 speaker sockets and a din pin (i think thats what its called)

The plate on the back of the cabinet says "ohms 16" - "speaker 5,200"
speaker is 3-4ft tall
It was made by Beverly Bruce and Goldie Ltd, Auckland
no idea age..

I will have to open the back tomorrow and see if it has a wire diagram and any info on back of each speaker

Much thanks

Tom

Back pate photo, let me know what info to provide. Getting a head may just be the motivation I need. Btw is this a bass cabinet or a guitar cabinet?
My head says bass

Much thanks will look now.. Getting a head would be a treat for being able to play.

So if 5, 200 refers to watts for max effect one needs a head with 7,600 watts. All links are great as learning.

What would be the min watt of an amp to get sound and keep the windows?
Even an advert would be fine. Then I can put a name to the face so to speak

Get a 75 or 100 watt amp, and you should be fine. Even a 120 watt amp like this would be fine for that cabinet:
