What it says on the tin. I'm considering getting a new electro-acoustic:
Requirements: * A cutaway, * low action/ nice playability, * no fret buzz. Desirable: * an inbuilt tuner, * an attractive finish. [I love pearl inlays and some darker wood natural finishes [nothing beige or yellow]. Black is also good, but high maintenance. I currently have a lovely half-size Taylor, but it can't be plugged in. Unfortunately Taylor electro acoustics seem to be out of my price range. I like the look and low action of Ovations/ imitation Ovations, but I'd rather not get a bowl-back due to their reputation for sliding, plus real Ovations are also extremely expensive. Perhaps Crafter or Tanglewood would be good bets for this sort of mid-range budget? I'd greatly appreciate any advice or recommendations, especially accompanied by pictures. N.B., I typically use gage 11 strings on my current acoustic, and play predominantly rhythm. |
