Simple answer would be because quitting is easier..

This cliché moral of "Never quit" only goes so far
When i started playing guitar it was hard at first musicians kinda have to rewire themselves to be musicians you have to stretch your fingers to learn the chords, learn how to make one arm independent from the other, learn how to sing independently from what your playing with your instrument.

this is all very hard but if your real interest is music you stick with it if not you'll give up halfway through.

I think than more than the will to do it, the interest has to be there..
if you have the interest you'll find the will to do it
