Just got a new amp silvertone 1484. Haven't had A chance to play it yet but Sooner or later Im gonna need tubes. Any suggestions? I don't have much need for cleans but a bright early breakup for some punky riff rock would be sweet.

You're not gonna need tubes for a good long while unless you're pushing the amp hard. Use the ones you've got and replace them when you need to. Most amplifiers tone doesn't change a whole lot unless you're changing like 3 or 4 tubes anyway.
