My Flute Meanderings.
I thought this section would be the best place for this thread.
I have shared recordings of me playing the flute in other places on MB, but I thought it would be a good idea to consolidate them into one thread. I welcome comments from you and also questions about the flute in general. First up, a new piece that I only got today. The Gigue movement from Sonata in G Major by Jean-Baptiste Loeillet, one of my favourite Baroque composers. Loeillet Gigue From Sonata In G Major by musicbrain5 on SoundCloud - Hear the world |
Nice thread name ;)
Very cool, BD - how long have you been playing flute? I love Adagio, too! |
Been playing seriously for about 13 years now.

Nice! Well I look forward to future postings! :)

I have quite a few recordings to share with everyone, so just hang on!! :D
|
Here's two more that are a little older, and I think I may redo them at some point.
The Alla Breve movement from Handel's Flute Sonata VI http://snd.sc/192wykl And the last Allegro movement from Sonata VII http://snd.sc/11G1gdi |
Helloooou I'm listening! Very nice BD. I would love to hear something slow and dramatic, too!
|
Nice job on the Handel (VII), it sounds like a tough one.
Have you done the "Dance of the Blessed Spirits" by Gluck? Lovely piece for flute. |
