Check your local classifieds... Then you don't have to pay shipping. Depending on the set and whats all included: $250-$1000 would be my guess. Check musiciansfriend.com also. It will give you an idea of what they run new (and some of there stuff is so cheap you might be able to buy it new).

Price of a drumkit?
Too much. But seriously, if you're looking for 2nd hand quality and cheap with it, I would say DO NOT go with Pearl Export, having played many old ones. An old Mapex V series wouldn't be a bad choice, same with a Premier. Or if you have a little more money check out Taye, beautiful stuff, cheap, solid birch shells. |

Premiers are a decent priced, decent sounding set. Ive known quite a few drummers that have started out with them. Shop around, check out classifieds and pawn shops.

o dude ebay has sick prices especially if your looking for hardware. my first drumset was crappy eben though it was used. i got ripped off. used it fine for starting out its actually dumb to get a lower end new one for more money because if you get serious you'll prolly want to get a better one in the future.
