Historical Music Item Identification Help !!
Hey guys,
I've posted this thread in numerous forums because I'm not sure where this goes. I am new to this community and am hoping to find someone well-versed in the subject of "old" music instruments that could help my Grandfather find out more information about his accordion. I need help identifying details about this accordion including potential value... what throws me off is the marking referencing "Giuseppe Quaglia Napoli" while also having a "Paolo Soprani" logo. My Grandfather has told me that it weighs around 45lbs, and has been in the family for over 60 years. It is like new, everything is clean, works perfectly. He bought it in 1949 and claims it was made in Italy in 1946. I just can't seem to find any information online about one as old as this that contains both of the markings... Info about it: 140 bass 5 bass keys 15 treble keys I cannot post pics yet as I do not have 15 posts so just remove the spaces for images PICS: oi39 . tinypic . com/2h5v5oi.jpg oi41 . tinypic . com/epro1f.jpg oi44 . tinypic . com/34ql8k1.jpg |
