Guitar Help
I know it's kinda off-topic.
I'm changing my electric guitar strings, and there's one string that is like trapped in the bridge and i can't push it down to take it off. Taking it off the neck is pretty easy but they're like trapped and i can't push them down to take it off the guitar. Thank you. |
I can't quite picture what your trying to explain. Wow .. thats never happened to me before, as far as I remember anyway.
Sounds like it should be easy to correct. Maybe post a picture or try describing the problem in better detail? |
I think I know what you mean but I kinda need more details. Have you cut the string leaving only a small section stuck in the bridge? Is there anykind of back plate to the guitar?
|
What kind of bridge is it? Hard tail, or Trem?
|
Trapped in the bridge, is it a string through?
|
OP here, i actually already fixed the problem.
I'm from Argentina and i don't speak good english but ima try to explain it: The strings have 2 endings, one with a little ball, and the other is plane. Well, the ball is the mechanism that is used to don't let the string "escape" in a normal way. But when you have to remove a string to replace them, you push the string in the direction that i actually entered. OK: the problem was that when i pushed the string to remove it, the string didn't remove, the ball was like "glued" to the bridge. I already got a little piece of thin metal and remove the balls with some force. Thank you all for the help!!! |
