Live vocals not loud enough or muddy.
Hey guys. I play in a local band. Really small venues no P.A system and we need a solution for our vocals. They just can't be heard over everything. I play through a mustang III and my friend plays through an AC30. Our vocals right now go through this terrible box speaker which I do not know much about but shrills with feedback at any reasonable volume. It seems like our solution as it stands now is to turn everything down. Which I would prefer not to do so I was wondering if you guys had some experience on live vocals for small venues without P.A systems. I really would like to be guided in a direction of what I could be buying. Our mic and speaker setup are total junk.
I just noticed this might be better suited in the, Audio section sorry about that! Last edited by GrapeSoda; 11-22-2012 at 05:32 AM. |

I'd hit up the local music store and see what kind of PA systems they have for rent. Most places will offer a 'rent to own' type arrangement as well. It gives you the chance to try out some various pieces of gear before settling on a specific product.
