crate glx 212
i recently bought a new crate glx 212, 120 watt guitar amp. a steal too i only paid $380 which is about half the retail price. i love the thing. the only problem i have with it, is that i cant seem to get enough high end treble out of it. part of the reason for this i think is that i play a guitar with double humbuckers (which are built to give a warm smooth sound). but ive noticed that it does that with a lot of guitars that have three single coils too.
im thinking about having the speakers replaced with ones designed to give better tone. anyone have any suggestions as to what i might be able to do about this that may be a little cheaper?

yeah thats exactly what i do. turn the treble all the way up on both and knock the bass down to about 6 or 7.
usually i get this problem mainly on the high gain channel. which of the metal distortion pedals would you recommend? (ie: digitech death metal distortion, boss metal zone....etc)

buy an electro harmonix big muff. best distortion ever. as far as speakers, check out celestions. they are expensive but well worth it.

i was looking for speakers today, and celestions to seem to get the best reviews so thats what i will look into in the case of speakers. as for the distortion, are there websites where i can listen to some of the sounds these pedals make. i know one company has that on their website but im not sure which one.

go to a guitar shop and check out all the pedals. then, when you find the one you like... go home and buy it online for cheaper.
