I tend to play synths more than just straight keyboards, and, as such, I'm very fond of the Korg line of mini's because they have lots of good sounds and the action is still pretty great. Those will run you $300-$500 USD depending on what you get, but they are well worth the money. I would check out the MicroKorg or the MicroKorg XL.
