When I told my friends I was starting up piano they said it's one of the most difficult instruments to learn. Is this true? I'm 22 and I've never touched an instrument but I can appreciate live music and instrumentals. I'd love to learn to play the piano but is it the best instrument to start with?
I've been learning piano/keyboards for a year now. Basically what I've learnt is simply that classic cliche, "You only get out what you put in". If you put in the time and effort plus have enthusiasm to learn and play then I'm sure you'll go fine.
