Tongue Drums

Anyone have any experience with tongue drums? I am really interested in buying one. I saw/heard it in King Crimson-The Sheltering Sky and really want one.

You can make one fairly easily with an empty propane tank, I am in the process of doing so. They're pretty good, much cheaper then buying a ready made one if you're a "do it yourself" kind of person.

Those propane drums are really cool, but they don't even come close to the vibrant sound of a wooden drum. The propane drums sound a lot like wind chimes.

Have you heard or seen the steel tongue drums called Babel Drums, you should check them out for an aternative version of a tongue drum

This is probably one of the best tongue drums on the market that is closest sounding the desired hang drum, check out the Titan C Mixolydian Scale Babel Steel Tongue Drum!!!
