I used to make guitar based music (I still play), but I stopped recording things because I got a bit bored with just recording my guitar, and using various samples. In short, I've never really been much of a singer, and I never ever sing along to music, ever. I can't really hold pitch, and I don't like the sound of my voice at all. I'm almost convinced that I shouldn't try singing, but I'm not sure if that's just my own negativity. Is there a way I can change that, or should I just stick to instruments to make music? I'm looking for some fairly constructive responses on this, because I want to know what I should focus on because I really want to be a musician regardless of what I play.
