Violin family
 

Hi all,

I am only familiar with keyboard, so please forgive the stupid question. Is it possible to play all notes (from c to B) on violin, violas, cello and doublebass? Because they're all basically four-stringed instruments. Or am I confusing strings with notes? It is confusing and not straightforward as the piano/keyboard, hence the stupid question.
