Default Jaguar trem arm mod

I've been taping up the trem arm of my jag for a while to keep it from going all the way into the socket because I like the bit of extra legth, but it's quickly becoming tedeous, and can be a bit of a challenge in a dimly lit club.

Does anyone know of anywhere that I get a trem arm that's longer at the back end?

I'm from Leeds UK if that helps at all.

I don't think anywhere sells them modified like that. You'll be best off making your own.

My Bloody Valentine does this with their Jaguars and Jazzmasters. I've never played a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster with the vibrato arm on it. How exactly is it not long enough? Is it too close to the body and you like a little bit of leeway? Maybe you should jam something in the socket that holds the tremolo arm to keep the arm from going to far in.

Yeah the arm's too close to the body which means I have to strum differently to use it.

I might see if I can find a little string to put down the hole or something.

Bad move, you'll end up putting a *lot* of stress on the bar and socket by doing that. You really do need something made to do the job properly when its a mechanical thing like this, or it will break.
