I agree. I've been playing drums a long time, but more consistently the past 4 1/2 years. Started a funk/soul band Dec 2007. Has developed nicely in our local area.

Sometimes you get to bang it out on your drums, sometimes you have the chance to take a song and make the other instruments way better with light or heavy dynamics, consistency, or sometimes by playing less. A band is only as good as its drummer.
