That's a nice P-bass, I like everything about it, the 3-tone sunburst finish, Rosewood fretboard and vintage-style tuners.

If they're used to playing a fretted instrument like the guitar or something, it might take a bit of time to remember where to place the fingers. Fret tape or a little masking tape always helps. Using a bow is quite a change too.
Vegangelica would be better able to answer your question though, as she plays violin |
