Oh man I was talking about the sitar with my friend Ben when we were watching the movie Gandhi lol. He's been playing guitar for like seven years also and went down to Brazil last year with his family...he said they cost like 70 bucks American.

stonedpath 04-26-2005 05:04 PM

I play the bongo's and sometimes trash cans

theman78370 05-02-2005 09:59 AM

i can somewhat play the guitar, and know how to play trumpet. but, if i could, i'd go learn to play bass so i could go all cliff burton on people's asses!

beat_monkey 12-22-2006 06:48 PM

So what instruments do you play?

what instruments do you guys play? and if any1 does vocals just say.
im more of a bassist but after christmas im doing more drumming.

littleknowitall 12-30-2006 11:10 AM

I'm sure this has been done before but ok,

6/8 yr guitarist - more bluesy i'd say when it comes to my soloing i tend to stick round the pentatonics just because i can. :) but my writings either very odd or a cheap immitation of maiden.
1/2 yr bassist - im unintentionally a funk bassist, got too much into victor wooten, learned the majority of classical thumb/ me and my bass guitar etc. was breifly in a R.H.C.P tribute band so picked up alot of fleas stuff, then went onto a bit of rush, now i just piss about with my own riffs the majority of the time.
I'm also a steady half arsed drummer,

overall im strongest surprisingly on the bass, 6 years of guitar lessons with 5 different teachers can kiss my arse. :S

littleknowitall 01-01-2007 04:11 PM

One instrument i'd kill to learn that, along with keyboard and harmonica, i got keyboard lessons booked but you try finding a harmonica teacher...

littleknowitall 01-01-2007 04:11 PM

Blain 01-01-2007 06:45 PM

A_Perfect_Sonnet 01-01-2007 11:50 PM

Self-taught vocalist, bassist, and guitarist.

I used to be pretty good at bari sax too.

Vocals are my best.

Timorous Vince 01-02-2007 09:32 AM

Violin for about 10 years, guitar for 6, piano/keyboard for 4, and I'd love to pick up the trumpet or drums; my two favourite instruments. I also sing

NaNaNer 01-02-2007 09:46 AM

^^ I am currently taking violin lessons..out of my seven instruments..it is proving to be the hardest to learn..

[MERIT] 01-02-2007 10:58 AM

some piano, a little drums, and the tiniest of guitar/bass.

skindredluver 01-02-2007 06:25 PM

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 01-03-2007 09:40 PM

Guitar - 6 years
Bass - 3 years
Drums - 2 years
Vocals - 3/4 years (since I actually started taking singing seriously)
Clarinet - 5 years
Keys - 2 years (though I never play, I know a few things)

HeadingForABreakdown 01-22-2007 09:57 PM

Guitar (acoustic and very passively) for half a year, now on to electric for about two months much more enthusiastically.

Kevorkian Logic 01-28-2007 03:02 PM

Violin- (6 years)
Viola- (7 years)
Harmonica- (I was taught when i was little, i haven't played it in like 3 years so i'm not sure if i still can).
Piano- (only basic ****)
Acoustic guitar (only basic ****).

I'm playing in a concert soon with an electric viola, i'm pretty excited, except for the fact it is only parents and other performers as the audience.

Loser 01-28-2007 03:09 PM

I play the drums and guitar. I haven't played in a while so I probably lost alot, but still know a few things.

Loser 01-28-2007 04:24 PM

skindredluver 01-28-2007 05:04 PM

Loser 01-28-2007 05:07 PM

Yes, it was one of those more exciting revelations. It sounds a lot more annoying though than I thought it did when I was 8 parading around the house with it.

Loser 01-28-2007 06:28 PM

It might be annoying but atleast you can still play:)

Kevorkian Logic 01-28-2007 06:39 PM

haha, yea, I wish i could take that skill and replace it with a much cooler skill, like mad rubric cube ability or yo-yo ability. that would be so much more not annoying.

Loser 01-28-2007 06:41 PM

Yeah. But the arubic cube is hair pulling frustration and yo yo is just as annoying:) Plus I like the hermonica keep it up.

Kevorkian Logic 01-28-2007 07:06 PM

i'll try, i'm not famous for my attention span though ;).

btw, do you happen to know of a band named "above all hope?" they're a punk band based out of Jersey, but they play a lot of gigs up in NY

Moon Pix 01-30-2007 11:47 AM

Guitar for about 4/5 years.
