I've only had one song I ever bend and do a small vibrato with my pinky and its on the high E string in the middle of the guitar which is tuned to C, so its incredibly easy. Even if I couldn't bend with it, I could slide into it and bend from there which would sound great too so yeah, bending with your pinky is pretty much pointless.

1. White muscle = faster pinky, more strength (i.e. red muscle) = slower pinky

2. Playing guitar works out the muscles in your hands naturally, so if one finger, the pinky, is "weaker" than the other four, then that is because you don't need it as strong, otherwise, it would be up to par with the "strength" of your other fingers.

3. GB is right, you don't need to be Mr. Universe to play the guitar. Finger dexterity is much more important and that is also built up naturally by playing music which requires precise and/or awkward finger placement.

This whole thread is completely irrelevant.

P.S. The previous post made me laugh and David Bowie's nuts would illuminate.
