Default Ukeleles!

Anyone else play one, even for fun? I've got a cheapie one, never found too much use for it until recently when I found myself needing more 'children-friendly' music and found that it provided a cheap, easy and (to the kids) quite funny way to play songs. It also saved me mucking about with gear when the room I was playing in a room with bad acoustics.

I have a cheapy Maholo uke at the moment....it sucks.

Anyone else here play?

I have an old bari uke. No name brand. Plays okay till you get past like the 7th fret or so then goes way sharp. I have wanted a nice concert uke for some time. Have seen some really cool looking spalted mango wood ukase for a decent $. Not sure how they sound or play yet

i bough a cd from a guy named "the tiki king" just for fun, and turns out he plays nice songs on the ukulele.

i was working juggling one day and met a guy that was traveling across Mexico with his ukulele and a back pack, i found him a place to stay and we hung out for like a week, then he dissapeared.

He left all his stuff and about two weeks later he contacted me trough FB and said the police deported him back to Texas but that he was ok and that he gave me all his stuff.

so that's how i got an ukulele, although i gave it away to a friend that always wanted to play one.
