I restrung my Gretsch with 11-gauge D'Addario flatwounds
![]() The thing sounds SOOOOO amazing now. It's not as bright as it used to be, but it's for the best. It's so much smoother now. And it's a goddess to play on ![]()

I still use Dean Markley Blue Steels on my SG and Taylor, but now that I have D'Addario flatwounds on my Gretsch, I can't imagine putting anything else on there

I use 11 guage rounds on my strat-a-like. I keep meaning to move to 12s.
