right now, it's probably Antennae Jimmy Semens for guitar (Captain Beefheart), Tchaikovsky for keyboards and Bryan Ferry, Billy MacKenzie (The Associates) for vocals

For guitar... I'd have to say John Frusciante, Mikael Åkerfeldt, Kurt Cobain, J. Mascis, Tim Armstrong, Beck, and Richard On, among numerous others.

For computer music and synthesizer stuff... Boards of Canada, Burial, White Noise Carousel, The Sight Below, Secede, Lali Puna, Fab Gadget, 69daysofstatic, **** Buttons, The Album Leaf, and Dirty Elegance tend to pop through at times.

And on piano... Liszt, Per Wiberg, Billy Joel, Straylight Run, Kuba Kapsa, Dave McKenna, Chick Corea, Eric Dolphy, Monk, Chopin and more.

When I first heard First Rays of the New Rising Sun by Jimi Hendrix, I realized that my true calling was guitar. He definitely started it all for me.
