Mystery Guitar
2 Attachment(s)
I have a vintage guitar, that looks as if it is out of the 40s, or 50s. My best guess is that it is a Gibson L'47. The only problem is the headstock looks like that of an earlier Martin. I will add the pictures, if anyone can help it would much appreciated. I hope this is the right place to put this, I still and new XD :pimp:

Interesting guitar man. I do not think its a gibson though. The headstock is slightly off any stock Gibson model I can think of. Ill keep looking but I honestly am not sure, this is a challenge.
|
thank you, yeah I enjoy the hunt. The headstock looks like a Martin. I have never seen a martin like that though. I was thinking Harmony, but am having no luck finding any that look like it.

You should refinish that in natural or a sunburst if your up to it. It would seriously be ****ing beautiful.

I totally agree, I could really dig something like that. I was thinking Cherry Sunburst. Btw nice avatar, Randy Rhoades is definitely in my top 5 favorite guitarists of all time.
|
Oh btw, I took it to my friend who is a luthier today, and he thinks it is either a Harmony, or a Sears/off brand. He said he was not confident in either of his guesses though, he really hasn't a clue he said.
