i just tried the 3 biggest online stores i know, musician's friend, music123, and zzsounds. 2 of those 3 had that bass for sale for $799.
what i'd really suggest doing instead is finding out which of your local music stores is an authorized Fender dealer and asking them to get a model shipped to their location so you can try it out. let them know you're already considering buying it online but would prefer being able to try it out first (so they know you're serious about making a purchase). while it is normally a little pricier in store, they might be able to price match, or cut you a deal on a case, or a setup, or a strap and strings, etc. |

Craigslist has a fair election depending on your location.
