Ah, I suppose including the description as an explanation may have been helpful.
Recently I decided I wanted to learn a new musical instrument, so armed with nothing but access to Amazon I bought a fife and a kids learning book. The fife arrived a couple of days ago in the mail. I am teaching myself and have no previous experience playing an instrument of this kind. So yeah, a cookie or something might be nice? A gold star? Maybe a pat on the back?

i hate the fife i tired to play it, they suck. Fife just means "cheap crappy flute".
try to learn a real instrument like guitar or piano if you're on a budget just get a ukulele those things are easy to play |

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know I had to only play instruments you also enjoy playing. I apologise that for three days of having picked up a new instrument I proved unable to impress your high standards.

now let me explain cause i'm not the only person thinking this the Fife is a crappy instrument it could be good if you're a session band player (you can figure out what that it for yourself) but learning a basic instrument is key in today's music world and when you nail everything together they're are two basic popular instruments keyed instument like piano, keyboard, and synths, and stringed instruments like guitars, ukuleles, and violins. and also i don't hate the fife as much as i pretended to i was just... i don't know i'm a teenager we rarely know why we do anything best of luck to ya |

Try again. Try really hard. Facts before statements.
Maybe I like the fife. Maybe I like that it's simple, crappy and uncomplicated. Maybe I don't plan to play Beethoven on it, and perhaps my affection for it comes from what it is, what it's used for and what it developed from more than it is the complexity of the instrument or it's uniformity to being able to go on and play other instruments.
