Someone buy me one of these! In exchange I'll give you an Ibanez RG550EX with ovalled neck bolt holes and a great big hug!

Farfisa 04-24-2010 01:25 PM

Hahaha, I thought you hated fenders and just overall wonky guitars in general. I'm pretty sure this a joke though, you being an Ibanez fanboi an' all.

duga 04-24-2010 02:08 PM

And if you are serious, I'm sorry to say this...but that is one of the most butt ugly guitars ever conceived. But that's just me.

Nope, I love em!

Though I admit, the design has many flaws. Thats partially why I don't own one yet. I dont like the idea of dropping cash on a guitar only to KNOW I'm dropping more cash into it straight away for setting it up correctly and changing bits.

What if it sounded far better than the prettiest guitar ever conceived?

Does it? You might be able to convince me of its worth if it does.

Get a mim one. As long as you dont buy it online and play it first to make sure its up to snuff im sure you could snag one for a couple hundred.

Hehe... I'm not sure. That's something we'll have to ask Guitarbizarre.

Farfisa 04-24-2010 04:40 PM

The jap made jags are pretty good buys, I've played both a MIM jazz and a jag and I hated the action and tone. I'm actually saving up for a MIA Jazzy as I want the real deal.

Oh, and here's a dude totally shredding on a jag.

Burning Down 04-24-2010 04:45 PM

My dad's got a Jaguar. Unfortunately, because it's his, I can't sell it to you :(

Janszoon 04-24-2010 04:47 PM

I want a jaguar too. The kind with wheels.

ugghhhhhh that hurt to watch...so sloppy!

He's replaced the pickups too... the charm of the jag to me is those shielded single coils! A jag without them ain't a jag I want!

Edit: Just read the comments that guy puts on the video too...the guy is a complete tool. He's absolutely up his own ass.

What can I say? I'm awesome.

mr dave 04-27-2010 05:43 PM

breaking my brain!!!! hahahaha

Farfisa 04-27-2010 05:43 PM

Since this is in the realm of Jazzies and Jags, could I maybe swap that wimpy mustang vibrato arm for one of those sexy jazz/jag arms? I know the vibrato arm off a jag/jazz isn't threaded but, is it different for the mustangs?

Update - I still do not have a jaguar. :(

Farfisa 04-30-2010 01:31 PM

Why do you want one anyway? Is it MBV fanboism or Nirvana fanboism?

Dr_Rez 04-30-2010 03:08 PM

Gb gogo telecaster not jag. Id think you would like that since there a bit more ballsy then other fender guitars.

I concur. For the longest time, I refused to pay any attention at all to telecasters. One day, I finally decided to try one and was blown away. I wouldn't mind owning one, myself.

It has many many switches :P

It also has cool pickups, and I've been GASing for a fender type neck to have around for a while now. Seeing as I hate standard strats and I don't get on with telecasters at all, on top of jags just flat out looking cool, I see no reasn not to want one.

Try finding one of the Fender reissue necks. There spaced just like the old ones, and play like a dream with the nitro finish.
