Just got a new guitar

I just got the Esteban Turquoise Limited Edition Acoustic/Electric guitar less than 3 hours ago, and I'm loving it already. #4,120 of 10,000. I will post links to my DeviantArt sometime within the next couple days.

sounds flash :D

What kind of music do you play or plan to play?

cadgod120 03-24-2010 05:04 AM

I learned classical music through my school's guitar course. I haven't been able to have lessons since February, since I moved, and there's no guitar course at my new school. *cries* I also have learned quite a variety of genres through tablature and music books. Stuff from the 70's to today. Zeppelin (NOT Stairway, lol), Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, AC/DC, etc.

Oh, here's a link to the FaceBook photo album.

Congratulations for you new guitar.I also have purchased one.I have a little problem with it,Would you please help me for that.I just want to ask you that
"Why would a guitar amplifier emit a loud humming sound whenever you touch your thumb to the tip of the phone plug?"

cadgod120 03-25-2010 05:17 AM

Nothing is wrong with your guitar or your cable. I'm not sure why it does that (It's not just you that noticed).

Insane Guest 03-25-2010 12:28 PM

It's feedback. And Congrats! Happy playing.

cadgod120 03-25-2010 01:53 PM

Thank you! I've played it for at least an hour a night since I got it on Sunday. I'm even taking it on vacation! I leave for New Jersey after school tomorrow.

Insane Guest 03-25-2010 04:08 PM

Take care of that thing, and keep it till you die. Limited Editions are always good to keep.

cadgod120 03-25-2010 04:28 PM

I will! I'm keeping it at a relative's place on Sunday. New Limited Edition guitar + 4 year old birthday party = hell on earth.

I'd rather that not happen.

I suggest you try some Al Di Meola rhythm style see if you like it. It greatly improves rhythm playing is you do

I just got myself one as well. Felt it was time for a change and bought a used 2007 Tele Thinline 69' Ressue. It sounds and plays amazingly well. All Mahogany Body with 1 piece maple neck and fretboard. Luckily 1969 was a good year for the tele in that they decided not to put humbuckers on the thinline keeping the actual telecaster twang.

Great choice, I myself love the simplicity of the telecaster. I might get another one after I get a Jazzmaster. So, what are you playing your new tele through?

I will when i can find a camera to use. Im pretty happy with my new rig. I am planning to put a Bigsby 5 on the telecaster, so that i can keep up with those bastardy strats. And since this is a vintage styled tele this roves to be more work than typically needed.
